VISQA for Vision System Tests

Imint Visqa

We recently launched VISQA, a novel software product enabling easy and low-cost tests of video generating systems, such as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) with EO/IR payloads. VISQA analyzes the received video and supports a top-down test model for all components in the image capture and retrieval chain, and provides objective, quantifiable and reproducible metrics for visual quality. Based on a simple test process with preset flight- and filming patterns, VISQA analyses the video stream, extracts comprehensive metrics on vision quality from a human perception point of view, and outputs these metrics in clear reports. Pushing the Performance Envelope in New Ihvert® Release

With the release of verion 2.3.1 of the Ihvert® product suite, a complete software platform for advanced live surveillance video enhancement, analysis, and exploitation, Imint is securing the lead in terms of optimized and resource efficient live video enhancement technology with a further 20% performance improvement. Ihvert has from its first introduction been designed for efficiency; the real time video enhancement algorithms are optimized to enable Ihvert to run on resource constrained systems, such as ruggedized laptops, and sharing space with other computational intense applications like Ground Control Stations (GCSs). Read more about the release, or find more details on the Ihvert Suite.

Turn Your UAV System Into a 2-in-1 Create Orto-correct Mosaics

Our latest capability add-on to our Ihvert suite could be of interest to you using an UAV for live surveillance and reconnaissance, but suffer in situational awareness from lack of accurate or updated local area maps. Using the same payload as for EO video surveillance, you can traverse the area of interest and generate a large orto-correct mosaic or 3-D terrain model. The generated mosaic can then optionally be used within Ihvert as the map system. This feature is enabled thanks to a co-operation with MosaicMill. Read more…

Imint and L-3 Communication Systems – West partner to meet growing international demand for real-time aerial video intelligence

L-3 Communication Systems – West will offer the Imint Ihvert® products as an option on to ROVER products for receiving, enhancing, and exploiting live video and telemetry from aerial reconnaissance systems. The driving force in this alliance is the global emerging need of improved tactical situational awareness. The combined technology will enable users the full range of video reception, enhancement, exploitation and reporting capabilitiescombined in one package, commonly referred to as a Remote Viewing Terminal (RVT). Vidhance Logotype     Real-timeVideo Enhancement

Have you heard about Vidhance before? If not, and if you are dealing with, or depending on, live video streams, and need best possible visual performance, then maybe you should have a look at the Vidhance software engine. Vidhance is Imint’s core innovation, and originates back to academic research on real time video enhancement. Vidhance is a set of highly optimized image processing algorithms and filters, that specifically address the visibility degradation aspects of surveillance videos from platforms in motion. The Vidhance software is trained with a huge data set of real aerial videos, and uses an adaptive approach for constant tuning and learning. Vidhance can be integrated into other software applications dealing with video streams, and can also be ported to an embedded platform. Read more about our approach, or find out more about the capabilities.

Traction for Ihvert and Vidhance within the Field of Mini-UAV’s – the Zero Gram Extra Payload Solution

Throughout the globe, Ihvert with its Vidhance technology, is used to enhance live video streams. Especially for mini- and small UAV systems, Ihvert provides substantial benefits. With severe limitations on payload weight, and often also on payload cost, Ihvert can enhance imagery in real-time, making the visual quality on-pair with those with heavier and more expensive sensors. Ihvert is now in trial with several providers of mini-UAV systems; fixed wing, rotor/VTOL, ducted fan, etc. with positive results. Find out the viability for yourself; we would be happy to do a test run, and provide you with a few report if you provide us with a video clip. Trial licenses of Ihvert is also available, please contact us for more information.
